I’m really hoping that this surgery will help me.  I want to be able to play with the boys without getting winded.  When you combine the quitting smoking and weight loss, it should solve that problem.  Now I just have to watch what I eat for the next six months.

We don’t live forever.  Why go through life fighting with people that you love?  Why can’t both people come to their senses and say “Why am I being such an asshole?”

Nobody is going to get along 100% of the time, and I understand that.  But there’s no reason that people can’t just forgive and forget.  I think that I’ve fought with every single member of my immediate family, my in-laws, friends, everyone.  The fact of the matter is knowing how to move on from the fight is the key.  Like I said, we’re not going to be here forever, why not enjoy the time with the people you love.

Somebody once told me about how important it is to be selfless instead of selfish.  He said about how it will make you a better person, yet I see this same person act like a selfish child, putting himself in front of his loved ones.  He’s a better person than that, and I know he is, but he let petty differences get the best of him.

The worst part of it is he let his differences affect his relationships with other members of his family as well.  He’s now missed out on a great chance to spend time with family, because he chose the selfish route instead of the selfless one.

Kind of hypocritical.
